Sharing a father with her half-sister Zoisite, Kyanite was raised in Kugane by her mother, a courtesan. As was also the case with Zoisite, her father tended to take off on adventures and only visit occasionally during her childhood, eventually starting an entirely new family in Monzen. After her mother was killed in an "accident" involving a Garlean customer, Kyanite began accompanying her father on his adventures in Yanxia. While her father was always fairly neutral in his opinions on the Garlean occupation, Kyanite's resentment grew over time.
Kyanite is exceptionally talented in martial arts, able to quickly master many weapons, even from a young age. At age 16 Kyanite began traveling on her own, training first in Shinobi-no-Sato for many years, and eventually teaching for many years as well. As Kyanite caught wind of the growing Liberation Front in Doma, she relocated to Monzen under the guise of taking over her half-sister's training.
Not confident in the Liberation Front's ability to defeat Garlemald, Kyanite decided to turn her attention to the Western front of Eorzea, where she joined the Ala Mhigan resistance and studied for years in the way of the Fist. As Garlemald resumed operations in Eorzea, Kyanite reunited with Zoisite, who had been working with the Circle of Knowing. After their loss at Carteneau, and her (presumed) witnessing of Zoisite's demise, Kyanite has since dedicated herself to training others displaced by Garlemald to fight in her stead.

Zoisite was born and raised in Garlean-occupied Monzen (Outside Doma) by her mother, a renowned jeweler. Her father, an adventurer and miner, only appeared sporadically throughout her childhood and adolescence, though he taught her how to wield a lance. Zoisite struggled with school, despite Kyanite’s attempts to help Zoisite follow in her footsteps as a samurai. When Kyanite left Othard to join the Ala Mhigan resistance in Eorzea, Zoisite (Age 16) followed, though she has yet to find her.
Four years later, she discovered she possessed the Echo and joined the Path of the Twelve, though she has no memories of the year leading up to the Calamity, nor the five years that followed. After re-emerging in Gridania and joining the Lancer's Guild, Zoisite joined the new Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
After being framed for the murder of the Sultana in Ul’dah, Zoisite spent a few moons at Camp Dragonhead, training to become a Dragoon and developing a mostly casual (from her perspective, anyway) relationship with Haurchefant Greystone. Once she'd involved herself in Ishgard’s conflict, Zoisite discovered she was pregnant with Haurchefant’s child. The two of them intended to marry, though they never had the opportunity.
At the end of the Dragonsong War, Zoisite gave birth to Feldspar Ruby, whom she adopted to a close friend that she’d met on her travels through Dravania, and kept his existence a secret from nearly everyone (save Alphinaud and Estinien). While she has long since accepted that she cannot raise Feldspar herself, he is still her primary motivation for continuing to be the Warrior of Light.

Adopted by a young hunter, Q'yantaa, in the Dravanian Forelands, Feldspar spent his youth mastering a number of survival skills (cooking, gardening) and teaching himself arcanima with a grimoire gifted to him by Alphinaud Leveilleur. His upbringing was somewhat difficult, as Q'yantaa's husband and hunting partner died unexpectedly in an accident when he was young, leaving the family without a reliable source of income. Feldspar often took on the role of a parent with his sister, Yhone, when they were younger, and still feels responsible for her now that they're adults.
Not very good at hunting, Feldspar began working as an adventurer in his adolescence. He also developed a very expensive reading habit and an enormous collection of romance novels.
Between age 18 and 21, Feldspar (somewhat unwillingly) lived in Ishgard with his uncle and cousin. As an adult, he has a difficult relationship with Zoisite. Like her, however, he possesses the Echo, though he rarely experiences visions. The visions he does experience are typically glimpses into other people's dreams. He also nearly always has an Amber carbuncle summoned, though he rarely uses her for combat.
In an attempt to learn more about his father, Feldspar found himself stuck in the past of another shard, where he met his husband Fennie . Because of timeline-breaking circumstances, Feldspar had to return home, leaving Fennie behind for over a year. During that time, Feldspar decided to focus on his studies and became an assistant teacher at the Arcanists' Guild. He also developed a bit of a drinking habit.
After Fennie returned, Feldspar has since moved on to running a tavern in Mor Dhona. Besides running the Cracked Cluster (formerly the Seventh Heaven), Feldspar now lives with his husband and two adopted children (Chrysocolla and Chalcedony) in an apartment in Revenant's Toll.

Born to Artoirel de Fortemps and Hilda the Mongrel, Ichelle's mere existence has always been controversial. A purely political union, her parents associated little with each other outside of official business, and so Ichelle was mostly raised by her father. As the sole heir, a female, Artoirel always impressed upon Ichelle that her responsibility was to marry a man to eventually take his place as the head of House Fortemps.
Despite it making her less attractive as a wife, eventually Ichelle was able to blackmail convince her father to allow her to train under Estinien as a dragoon at the age of 12. Taking more after her mother, physically, Ichelle grew rapidly as a teenager, looking nearly fully grown by Elezen standards by the age of 14, attracting a lot of unwanted attention from men. Ichelle continued to reject their advances, but after a sexual assault, Ichelle gained a reputation for being both promiscuous and standoffish, which deemed her unmarriageable by the bachelors of Ishgardian nobility.
Ichelle discovered she possesses the Echo after meeting her cousin Feldspar. With extensive practice, Ichelle is able to peer into others' memories at will, in addition to the ability to communicate in any language, giving her the upper hand in both combat and politics. Because of her achievements in strengthening Dravanian and Ishgardian relations, the title Azure Dragoon was un-retired and granted to her, bringing back the Order of Knights Dragoon under her more progressive leadership.
Ichelle has been engaged to Erleanne, an engineer with the Skysteel Manufactory, since they were 18. They intend to be married when Erleanne, an Elezen, considers herself suitably tall.

First of two twins born to Alisaie and Urianger Augurelt, Erleanne was technically the eldest of the Scion's children. While she was usually a good example for her younger cousin Rose in the Rising Stones growing up, Erleanne was thought to take mostly after her mother and was often a source of chaos for her more level-headed twin sister Edrianne.
Though she can use basic magic and can summon a couple of carbuncles, Erleanne chose to study the lance under her aunt Zoisite rather than magic like her parents or sister. She's also spent much of her life fascinated by Garlean technology, particularly their affinity for combining guns with other weapons, and apprenticed under Cid in her adolescence instead of attending the Studium with her sister.
Erleanne moved to Ishgard at age 16 to study weapon design and gunmanship under Stephaniven de Haillenarte and Hilda Ware at the Skysteel Manufactory, where she now works as a full-time engineer. In addition to carrying a gun spear as her weapon of choice, Erleanne is also a passable airship pilot.
Taking after her parents, Erleanne often finds herself involved wherever adventure is to be had, meeting her fiancée Ichelle de Fortemps while uncovering a mystery amongst the nobility of Ishgard. She intends to marry into the Fortemps family when she's reached her final height.

Edrianne was born the second of two twins, alongside her sister Erleanne, to Alisaie and Urianger Augurelt. Considered very precocious as a child, Edrianne was very close to her father growing up, partially because of their similar bookishness, and also thanks to their shared secret of her possessing the Echo.
Edrianne's Echo manifests with the ability to detect others' emotions, often against her wishes. Because of this, she spent most of her childhood alone with her books. When she wasn't having to keep her sister out of trouble, at least.
Studying magic and spellcraft more generally, Edrianne chose to attend the Studium at a young age. At the Studium, she met and began dating a talented thaumaturge named Iveh'a with a fascination with the ancient world and the Echo. After he was recruited into an organization similar to the Ascians, intent on finding another way to rejoin the shards and resurrect Amarout, she chose to (secretly) stay neutral in their hostilities with the Scions. She continued their (often toxic) relationship for many years, moving with him to Gridania when they finished school, and kept assisting him with his studies. She had no choice but to finally intervene when his organization directly threatened her family, the conclusion of which has left her distraught for a few turns.
After Iveh'a's death, Edrianne found a career teaching with the Conjurer's guild. She visits the Scions frequently, studying red magic under her mother, and also assists her father with his research.

As a child, Yhone spent a lot of time learning how to use a bow, both from her mother and other hunters around camp. After learning for himself, Feldspar taught Yhone how to read and write.
As Yhone aged, she quickly realized that men considered her a novelty for her half-Miqo'te and half-Hyur heritage. Her first hunting partner even tried to have her kidnapped, though that was thwarted. Eventually taking matters into her own hands, Yhone began a transactional relationship with a married Ishgardian chocobo trader that frequently visited Tailfeather. After a fight with her mother, who eventually caught wind of Yhone's relationship 3 years later, Yhone decided to stay with Feldspar in Revenant's Toll for a while working at the Cracked Cluster.
After Feldspar and Fennie convinced Yhone to end her relationship, Yhone met Nikolas, Fennie's assistant, and the two started dating shortly afterwards. She eventually moved back home to Tailfeather and continued her work as a hunter, though Nikolas and Yhone visited one another often.
After dating for over a turn, Yhone discovered she was pregnant, and Nikolas immediately proposed. Yhone returned to Revenant's Toll once again, where she currently lives with her husband and their son.

Kaien was born (accidentally) in Doma to Lyse Hext and Hien Rijin, only a few turns after Doma's liberation from Garlemald. Though Hien offered to marry Lyse and legitimize Kaien as his heir, Lyse declined, choosing to raise Kaien on her own with her family name, and making him ineligible to inherit the throne. While he spent a couple of moons in his childhood in Doma with his father, whom he mostly exchanges letters with, Kaien spent most of his life in (liberated) Ala Mhigo.
Dragged to many Eorzean Alliance meetings by his mother, Kaien has always had a keen interest in politics and history. While he was trained in the art of pugilism by his mother, and is somewhat mediocre at it, he has chosen to continue to study under the newly resurrected Fists of Rhalgr out of a desire to preserve Ala Mhigan culture.
Kaien also spent much of his childhood around the Scions and their children, particularly his longtime crush Rose Leveilleur. Though he and Rose have been dating for a couple of turns now, her mother (Zoisite Ruby) has always had an unexplainable dislike of him, and the two of them have had to keep their relationship secret.
Hearing tales of the Scions' adventures his entire life, Kaien has always wanted to become an adventurer and see the world himself one day. Because of his aforementioned combat skills, Lyse does not allow him to do much on his own and forces him to bring Rose along with him if he's ever in any danger.

Miah'to was the second-born son to a very traditional mother in the South Shroud. With no sisters, and his younger brother 12 turns younger than himself, Miah'to was often the target of his mother's resentment over having only sons. His interests were not particularly traditional either, preferring to cook over hunting. Unlike his older brother, Miah'to also wasn't very popular with women.
Since visiting a restaurant in Gridania as a child, Miah'to has dreamt of running his own restaurant one day. Shortly before his 16th birthday, when Miah'to was supposed to join his brother's band of poachers and start fathering children of his own, Miah'to found a recruiting flyer for the Cracked Cluster and ran away from home to pursue the opportunity instead.
Though Miah'to rejected his way of life to join Eorzean society at large, he still holds on to quite a few Keeper ideals, particularly on sexuality. While he's open-minded about others, Miah'to refuses to acknowledge his own attraction to men and is choosing to focus on his career, which he sees as more important, anyhow.
While he often comes off as shy and standoffish, Miah'to is actually quite witty and observant, which makes him very good with customers, particularly the rowdy late-night crowd. He is also quite close with his coworkers, considering both Feldspar and Toghon his mentors, and has come around to considering Rose a friend as well.

Rose was born, raised, and currently resides in Revenant's Toll, Mor Dhona. Like her father, Alphinaud Leveilleur, Rose is both very sociable and also very naturally gifted with magic. Like her mother, Zoisite, she also struggles to apply those gifts, and tends to flit between various interests. Though she was accepted into the Studium at age 14, Rose decided to instead stay home in Mor Dhona, working for her half-brother Feldspar at the Cracked Cluster, and is continuing to study under Feldspar's husband Fennie.
Rose has been an Arcanist for most of her life, able to summon multiple carbuncles at once, she's since taken up the path of Somanoutics like her father, and is mostly studying on her own with some oversight from Physis Technon in Sharlayan.
Like most teenagers, Rose is primarily concerned with her social life. Despite her occasionally difficult relationship with Feldspar as a sibling, she is very close friends with Yhone, Feldspar's other sister. Rose has also always been close with Kaien Hext, former-Scion Lyse's son, whom she has been dating in secret for the past few turns.
Besides her studies, Rose is very interested in fashion and art. She also enjoys talking to the adventurers that stop at the tavern about their travels.
Though she isn't sure what she wants to do with her own life just yet, Rose also accompanies her boyfriend, an adventurer, on his various tasks and errands.
